Forefans

Log on. Lose Yourself.

A naive student struggling to make ends meet becomes a camgirl to support herself. But in a lurid world where everybody is a commodity, what will the final cost be?

ForeFans is a dark, bold, improvised contemporary drama set in the world of "camming” and exploring themes of sex as a commodity, manipulation, and emotional disconnection. With only a tiny crew, we filmed across 18 different locations in both Zagreb and Paris.

The narrative centres around a fictional adult chat platform called ForeFans, inspired by popular websites like LiveJasmine and Chaturbate. It dives into the heart of a multi-billion dollar industry, which features an average of 12,500 cam models and over 240,000 viewers at any given moment. ForeFans seeks to provoke thought on the authenticity of online connections, the repercussions of commodifying intimacy, and the broader societal impacts of this digital phenomenon.

The film is currently in post-production and set to be completed in 2024.
