Sugar explores a potential sugar daddy/baby relationship between a much older man and a younger woman, a relationship that is perfectly legal but morally questionable. Inspired by the numerous celebrity men dating women half their age, the film prompts the audience to examine their feelings about significant age gaps in relationships and the role monetary value plays in ‘love’.
Shot across Prague and London in 2024, the film recently screened in Berlin at Sputnik Kino and KinoBerlino and sparked strong and thoughtful responses.
